Mayor Estok Announces Lifting of Some City Park Restrictions

Mayor Dennis Estok has announced that most restrictions have been lifted at all of the City of Knox Parks effective June 12, 2020. The following park amenities are now open:

  • Walking Trails
  • Shelters
  • Playground / Exercise Equipment
  • Splash Pad
    • No more than 25 children at a time.
    • Hours Operation: 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. 7 days a week.
  • Bathrooms
  • Skate Park

The following park amenities are available for limited use:

  • Basketball Courts – Practice and conditioning only, no team competitions.
  • Baseball/Softball Fields and Dugouts – No use of the dugouts, practice, and conditioning only, no team competitions.
  • Pickleball Courts

Drinking fountains will remain closed.

DO NOT ENTER THE PARK IF YOU HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS:

  • FEVER
  • COUGH
  • SHORTNESS OF BREATH

PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK! PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND STAY 6 FEET APART. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING YOUR OWN HAND SANITIZER.
